Visible in the Cave is the town’s namesake spring that produces 2 million gallons a day of the purest, best-tasting water you’re likely to find anywhere. People from miles around come to fill jugs and take home the award-winning water. The cave’s spring overflows into a serene reflection pond and shallow stream, perfect for the little ones to dabble in. Then it flows on to fill the park’s 1.5 acre swimming lake, second-largest in the state, with its invigorating mineral water. There’s room aplenty for lap swimmers, floaters and water babies. Bordered by a wide, grassy lawn, it’s a favorite spot for sun worshippers, too. The pool complex includes a snack bar, volleyball area, picnic tables, and bathhouse.     160 miles of recreation opportunities for hikers, cyclists, horseback riding < Back Trails (Pinhoti, Silver Comet, Trail of Tears and more) 160 miles of recreation opportunities for hikers, cyclists, horseback riding The Pinhoti (Creek for the turkey's home) Trail is one of the Southern Appalachian Mountain's premier long distance hiking trails, offering over 335 miles in trails through Alabama and Georgia. In Georgia 160 miles of recreation opportunities for hikers, backpackers, horse-riders, and mountain bikers in the state of Georgia. It also serves as an excellent connector trail, linking the Pinhoti Trail in Alabama to the Appalchian Trail atop Springer Mountain, via the Benton MacKaye Trail found on the South Fork of Jacks River within the Conasauga Ranger District. In Cave Spring, the Pinhoti trail runs through Rolater Park. The trailheads for the Pinhoti Trail are located just outside of town, southwest of Cave Spring. The trail extends up through Coosa, follows Taylor’s Ridge to Dalton to north Ellijay before eventually linking to the Appalachian Trail. The Pinhoti is the longest thru-trail in Georgia at at over 165 miles. Access to The Silver Comet Trail is a mere 9 miles from Cave Spring in Cedartown, Georgia. The Trail of Tears The U.S. Bicycle Route 21 also runs through Cave Spring connecting Atlanta to Chattanooga. MapMyRide.com offers 30 mile to 100 mile loops that begin and end in Rolater Park. General admission is $2/person Step back in time when Cave Spring’s natural limestone cave was being created, with its impressive stalagmites and legendary “Devil’s Stool” formation.     Municipal Court is held at 3:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Cave Spring City Hall Courtroom, 10 Georgia Avenue. There are exceptions to this date if it falls on a holiday. Court dates are indicated on citations. < Back MUNICIPAL COURT The Honorable Steve Burkhalter Presiding Judy Dickinson, Court Clerk Marley Peals, Deputy Court Clerk Municipal Court is held at 3:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Cave Spring City Hall Courtroom, 10 Georgia Avenue. Accident or incident reports will be available at City Hall three business days after actual incident date. Directions Payment of Fines If a case does not mandate a court appearance, fines may be paid at any time before the scheduled court date in person at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Only cash, bank checks, and money orders are accepted and should be received no later than 3 p.m. on the day of court.
