  • Trash Collection Update | Cave Spring Georgia

< Back Trash Collection Update Jul 24, 2026 We apologize for the confusion regarding trash collection this morning. Earlier this week, the City Manager met with GFL to formally discuss the City’s concerns and the many complaints we’ve received from our residents. During that meeting, GFL advised that residential trash collection would take place on Saturday as they work to restore their normal collection schedule. In response to those concerns, GFL sent a smaller truck through the city this morning in an effort to collect trash from residents who may not have received the updated schedule. The regular collection truck will still be making its scheduled route on Saturday. The City Manager sincerely apologizes for the confusion this has caused. Please know that he is working diligently with GFL to improve the reliability and consistency of trash service in Cave Spring. If your trash was not collected this morning, or if you did not have your cart out, don’t worry. The regular collection truck will be back on Saturday. Previous Next

  • City of Cave Spring Trash Collection Update | Cave Spring Georgia

< Back City of Cave Spring Trash Collection Update Jul 23, 2026 The City of Cave Spring has been in communication with GFL regarding this week’s residential garbage collection. Residential trash collection is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026. Due to unforeseen operational circumstances over the past several weeks, GFL has experienced changes to its collection schedule. GFL is working diligently to resolve these issues and return to its normal pickup schedule as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. The City will continue to share updates as additional information becomes available from GFL. This positioning allows the automated collection arm to properly lift and empty the cart while reducing the chance of damaging the lid. We've received several calls regarding damaged lids, and we hope this reminder helps prevent issues in the future.
