We apologize for the confusion regarding trash collection this morning.
Earlier this week, the City Manager met with GFL to formally discuss the City’s concerns and the many complaints we’ve received from our residents. During that meeting, GFL advised that residential trash collection would take place on Saturday as they work to restore their normal collection schedule.
In response to those concerns, GFL sent a smaller truck through the city this morning in an effort to collect trash from residents who may not have received the updated schedule.
The regular collection truck will still be making its scheduled route on Saturday.
The City Manager sincerely apologizes for the confusion this has caused. Please know that he is working diligently with GFL to improve the reliability and consistency of trash service in Cave Spring.
If your trash was not collected this morning, or if you did not have your cart out, don’t worry. The regular collection truck will be back on Saturday.
