CAVE SPRING, GA — August 25, 2026 — The City of Cave Spring is pleased to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new affordable housing development that will provide high-quality housing opportunities for individuals and families in the community.
The Northwest Georgia Housing Authority hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in Cave Spring on Monday, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the community’s affordable housing efforts.
The project will replace the existing 52 public housing and Section 8 units with 58 newly constructed affordable housing units. The new development will offer a variety of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments designed to provide quality, affordable housing for residents of Cave Spring.
The Northwest Georgia Housing Authority is excited to bring newly constructed, high-quality affordable housing to the Cave Spring community. The development represents a significant investment in the future of Cave Spring and will help expand access to safe, modern, and affordable housing for local residents.
The City of Cave Spring is proud to support this important project and appreciates the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority and all of the partners whose efforts are helping make this development possible.
We are excited to see this project move forward and to welcome this investment in our community. Quality, affordable housing is an important part of a strong and thriving community, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this development will have on Cave Spring and its residents.
The City looks forward to following the progress of the project and celebrating the completion of these new homes with the Cave Spring community.
